Meet Robert

Robert Short is an entrepreneur, local businessman, and elected county commissioner. Robert grew up in Glenrock where the values of hard work, integrity, and loyalty were instilled by his parents. A byproduct of the boom and bust cycle afforded him the opportunity to work for Fortune 500 technology companies and small startups all over the world. In 2005, Robert returned with his family to Douglas and started a small business with his best friend, who is also his wife, Janella. Over the last 15 years, their businesses have expanded to encompass energy, agriculture, retail, and tourism. Robert’s unique experience in creating new businesses and employment opportunities that diversify the economy based on the existing traditional workplace, will be critical as the Wyoming economy transitions over the next 20 years.

As a twice elected Converse County Commissioner, Robert has been translating his work ethic to listen and meet the needs of the people of Converse County since 2014. He tirelessly donates his time to serve as the Chairman of the Board of the Converse Hope Center which assists those in crisis and provides help for those who experience domestic violence. He also serves as Chairman for the WCCA Committee on Energy and Environment. Robert brings a wealth of working with people of diverse backgrounds, a tireless pursuit of problem solving, an ability to listen to different points of view, and a willingness to adapt to changing situations.

With Robert’s unmatched passion for the people and the State of Wyoming, he is the right person to be Wyoming’s next U.S. Senator.
